STUDENT LIFE
Athletics
The athletic program at MCS exists to provide physical training for students while giving the opportunity to benefit from a setting that expects participants to:
-
Learn to work together as part of a team.
-
Learn to interact with teammates, coaches, officials, opponents, and spectators with sportsmanship that honors Christ.
-
Develop a healthy individual work ethic.
-
Use athletic abilities to bring glory to God and God alone.
We believe one outcome of our athletic program is the witness it brings in the community. This is manifested through the manner in which the game is played as well as the attitudes and actions of both participants and fans. It is the responsibility of each participant and spectator to represent MCS with a Christ-like demeanor at all times.

Music
Students invest one or two sessions per week rehearsing choral music and small group ensembles, with the intent of bringing glory to Jesus Christ. Public programs are given for student assemblies, parent audiences, and local congregations.
Bible Quizzing
Students in grades 5-12 may elect to take part in a Bible Quiz Team, memorizing Scripture to compete with other schools in the Mid-Atlantic Christian Schools Association (MACSA). The highlight of the year is a three-day meet with competitive teams at Refreshing Mountain Retreat. The passage to study for the 2022-2023 school year is John 1-6.
